Removing LUNs from ESXi 4

Hi

I'm planning to remove some LUNs from a ESXi cluster. I've seen a KB article saying that an APD condition can be triggered. http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1029786

My question is, if I am deleting the datastores, do I need to worry about this?

My plan was to:

1. Delete the VMFS datastores

2. Rescan the hosts storage

3. Unpresent the LUNs using the storage array management software

4. Rescan the hosts storage.

Will this work ok? Do I need to worry about APD, or is it only a concern if I were to unpresent the luns without deleting the VMFS?

These are production hosts, so I am reluctant to cause any issues!
