Correct. The problem here is that adding each volume as a .vmdk will add a minimum 2 connections / server (more with our current MEM policy) and quickly overcome our connection limit. My concern with creating a few large vmfs volumes that multiple windows/linux volumes in those data stores is IO contention during snapshots.
