I try to boot my newly installed Boot Camp Windows 7 within Vmware Fusion 5. I get the message: "No Boot Camp disks found". It seems that Fusion cannot find the Boot Camp partition. However, the Boot Camp partition can be seen in Startup disk option. I can also boot into it by holding down the option key at startup. So I suspect that the partition record got messed up somehow when I installed Boot Camp. I tried clean installation of Fusion but it didn't help.
My late 2011 macbook pro 13" has two hard drives and no optical drive. So I installed Boot Camp following the procedure here: http://www.yesthisbig.com/comments/index.php?action=show&id=3157&type=news
Basically I used bootcamp assistant to partition the drive, installed rEFIt, made a fusion vm to point to the partition, installed Windows on the partition in Fusion (also reformatted it to NTFS). I then removed rEFIt.
