Re: Upgraded to Build 1245816 on Linux host

I have tried the following upgrade scenarios.

1. Windows 8 x64 host

WS902 with WS9 paid license --> WS 2013 TP July

Once launching WS 2013 TP July, I saw the dialog "Welcome to VMware Workstation". I chose 30-day trial. And WS UI reported accordingly. I think it is a correct behavior.

2. Windows 7 SP1 x64 host

WS 2013 TP May with TP license posted on the community, expire at Oct 15 2013 --> WS 2013 TP July

Once launching WS 2013 TP July, I did NOT see the dialog "Welcome to VMware Workstation". WS UI opened directly and reported the license will expire at Oct 15 2013.

As per my test results, I don't observe TP license is overriden by the 30-day eval on Windows hosts.

I am not sure whether the issue is Linux-specific. I will try it later.
