Folks,

Hello. Thanks a lot for replying.

For the 2 Guest OSes VMs, I selected VMplayer3>VM>Settings>Hardware>Network Adapter>Network Connection>select NAT.

I set the value as below:

Host Win 7:
Ethernet adapter VMware Network Adapter VMnet8:
IPv4 Address 192.168.196.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.196.2
Preferred DNS server 192.168.196.2

Guest Win XP:
IPv4 Address 192.168.196.101
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.196.2
Preferred DNS server 192.168.196.2

In Guest OS Oracle Linux 5, I configure eht0 as below:

[root@localhost /]# system-config-network
Statically set IP address:
IPv4 Address 192.168.196.102
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.196.2
There is no DNS server.

I test the 3 machines' connections as below:

In Windows 7:
C:\> ping 192.168.196.101
This is pinging Win XP. Its output is "Request time out".

C:\> ping 192.168.196.102
This is pinging Oracle Linux 5. Its output is "Reply from 192.168.196.102:bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64" and some statistics.

In Windows XP:
C:\> ping 192.168.196.1
This is pinging Win 7 Host. Its output is "Request time out".

C:\> ping 192.168.196.102
This is pinging Oracle Linux 5. Its output is "Reply from 192.168.196.102:bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64" and some statistics.

In Oracle Linux 5:
C:\> ping 192.168.196.1
C:\> ping 192.168.196.101
Both commands have the same outputs:
ping 192.168.196.1 56(84) bytes of data. Nothing happens afte this.
ping 192.168.196.101 56(84) bytes of data. Nothing happens afte this.

From the above output, we see:
Both Host Windows 7 and Guest Windows XP can ping Guest Linux.
Host Windows 7 and Guest Windows XP cannot ping each other.
I am not sure whether Linux can ping Host Win 7 and Guest Win XP or not.

All I need is Guest Win XP and Guest Linux can communicate with each other for Oracle Database Client to login into Oracle Database Server. Could any folk helps to solve the above issue ?

Very grateful in advance.
