I installed VMware workstation 9.0.1 build 894247 in Windows 7 64bit. If I want to browse any shares on my local network I now have to disable the adapter "VMware Network Adapter VMnet8" in order to do so for some reason. Can someone please explain why or what I need to change to fix this? VMware workstation is not running at all, its merely the adapters presence and being enabled that messes things up for some reason.
