To add onto my response above....here is another screenshot of the VMWare services to show what is stopped and started automatically. The services that are stopped and marked as Automatic are unable to be started, they receive the same error as my previous screenshot. Again, this is a standard build through the wizard and so I'm assuming there is a custom step or registry key that I never modified that I might have to to ensure that only experts install this 
Its kind of like the two scripts I had to run on the SQL box to install SSO......nothing in the wizard said to do that so its just a bizarre step with very little instructions on that it seems a select few know about and if your not in the know you just get a cryptic error. Anyway, thanks for all your help and hopefully I can get this resolved soon.
